Jess Elliott is the Founder of TAG Performance. A long-time strength and conditioning coach and biomechanist, Jess launched TAG in 2018 to continue serving the elite endurance community. Today, she is reaching athletes across 34 countries, writing a book on high performance principles, and partnering with Colorado-based running and cycling organizations. Her vision is to equip and empower others to live their best lives by making high performance accessible and inclusive to all. She strives to optimize performance, increase resilience, and develop readiness for the physical demands of sport and the adventures of life.

Her coaching experience includes high school athletics, NCAA Division I programs, tactical training for the fire service, coaching professional athletes, working with NGBs, and training Olympians. In addition to the world competitive sports, Jess adapted the high performance model and applied it within the fire service to reduce on-line injuries and the corporate wellness landscape to improve well-being and quality of life. High performance isn't just for elite athletes, it's beneficial to everyone.

 

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance and Sport and a Master’s degree in Sports Coaching with additional studies and research in Biomechanics.

She holds multiple credentials through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and Exos.

Jess is an year-round adventurer, alpine lake enthusiast, trail and ultra-runner, and loving mom to her pup. In her free time, you can find her frolicking above the treeline while voraciously consuming podcasts, audiobooks, and the occasional Belgian waffle.

Her Enneagram is a Type 7 (Enthusiast) and Type 3 (Achiever); in other words, she's the embodiment of work hard/play hard. And, Ted Lasso might be her spirit animal.
