Core Training: Pallof Press Variations

Variation 1: Athletic Stance Cable Pallof Press⠀
When starting this exercise with athletes, I always begin with the athletic stance position. This position allows for the greatest stability. As their core strength develops, I’ll change the base of support position and progress the weights as necessary. Personally, I tend to prefer using cables as opposed to resistance bands as it’s a quantifiable and repeatable weight.
